Video: Woman accused of keying Tesla over Crocker Park parking space

WESTLAKE, Ohio (WJW) — A woman accused of keying a Tesla inside a Crocker Park parking garage after a reported road rage incident has turned herself in.

It all started when a man driving a Tesla was waiting for someone to pull out of a parking space on Sunday, March 17, according to a police report.

The man told investigators that a woman driving a Toyota Rav4 tried to drive around him and take the spot. According to police, the man moved his car to prevent the Toyota from taking the space.

When he came back to the parking garage, the man noticed the paint was damaged on the side of his Tesla, the police report said.

Westlake police released security footage on social media, showing a woman keying the side of the Tesla before walking away.

Detectives say they identified the suspect as a 44-year-old woman. A warrant was issued for her arrest on a charge of criminal damaging.

The woman turned herself in to police on Thursday morning, according to police Capt. Gerald Vogel. She’s expected to face charges in Rocky River Municipal Court. Police have not released her identity.
