Video shows suspect check for unlocked doors in Pepper Pike

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio (WJW) – Police in Pepper Pike are warning residents to lock up their homes and cars.

This comes after surveillance video showed a person checking for locked doors Monday night in the city.

Pepper Pike police released video from someone’s home surveillance camera on social media.

Police say the incidents happened between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Police say the person in the video went to at least 10 houses on multiple streets.

“During each recorded incident, the person can be seen checking for unlocked doors around each home. We have reason to believe that he is checking unlocked cars as well,” police wrote.

Police say a bicycle has been reported missing.

They’re asking residents who have security cameras to check their video to see if they have any evidence that can help police in the investigation.
