There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Ian Ziering’s New Year’s Eve mini-biker brawl. New footage appears to show the former “90210” star throwing the first blow.

Although previous clips of the Dec. 31 fight show the actor being attacked by a group of people riding mini-motorcycles on Hollywood Boulevard, it seems Ziering may have started the brawl.

In another video shot from behind, the 59-year-old Newark, New Jersey, native appears to get out of his Mercedes-Benz in the middle of a busy Los Angeles street to confront one of several bikers on Sunday afternoon. According to TMZ, a car in front of Ziering had stopped and blocked his car.

Ziering appears to get out of his car and shove one of the bikers, who are reportedly members of the 605 Minibike Gang. It’s unclear why Ziering shoved the biker. An all-out fracas ensued with Ziering being surrounded by at least five other people — several of whom began striking at him.

“I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes. While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation. In an attempt to assess any damage I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself,” he explained in a statement on Instagram on Monday night to his 624,000+ followers.

Ziering and his daughter walked away “unscathed” from the incident, which is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, CNN reported.

“This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior,” the “Biker Mice from Mars” voice artist added. “As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the response from authorities seems insufficient.”

Two days after the brawl, Ziering’s “90210” co-star Brian Austin Green heralded his “brother” for the way he handled himself..

“My boy Ian Ziering got in a fistfight on Hollywood Boulevard with five dudes and f—ing beat them. Did it. Did his thing,” he said in an Instagram story video Tuesday. “He’s a monster. He’s f—ing incredibly fit, obviously.”
