Video: Kelly Thomas hits game-winning buzzer beater over five-star recruit Diamond Stone

Kelly Thomas Buzzer Beater Over Diamond Stone To End 44-Game Winning Streak
It was the only shot of the game for Kelly Thomas. But he sure made it count.

St. Catherine's (Racine, Wis.) extended its win streak to nine games Thursday night in dramatic fashion as Thomas, a senior forward, beat the buzzer to give the Angels a 51-50 win over Metro Classic Conference rival Dominican (Whitefish Bay).

The win carried extra weight because it elevated St. Catherine's into a first place tie with Dominican in league and snapped the program's 44-game win streak in Metro Classic play.

Thomas was being guarded by five-star recruit Diamond Stone, a 6-foot-10 senior in the midst of a recruiting battle between Connecticut, Maryland and Wisconsin.

"The coaches had been telling me the whole game to pump-fake against him," Thomas told Racinesportzone.com. "So, I finally pump-faked and it worked."
