VIDEO: Hillsborough County Aviation, K9 units catch fleeing suspect
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office shared a video on social media showing its Aviation and K9 units pursuing and catching a fleeing suspect on Friday.
The video, captioned “Don’t Run X Don’t Hide,” shows aerial footage of the sheriff’s office tracking the suspect before deputies on the ground apprehend the man.
The suspect’s name was not released but the sheriff’s office said he was wanted for domestic violence charges and active felony warrants.
“Running from our deputies is no way to freedom,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I am continuously impressed by and thankful for the commitment, skill, and precision of our deputies who work to protect our community despite the challenges they face.”
No further details were provided by the sheriff’s office at this time.
