Video games based on Tom Clancy books
Tom Clancy's action-packed novels inspired not just films but dozens of video games.
The author's role in games began in the 1980s with classic interactive renditions of "The Hunt For Red October" and "Red Storm Rising." Clancy launched his own video game studio, Red Storm Entertainment, in 1996. Ubisoft Entertainment SA, which acquired the studio in 2000, continues to publish such gaming franchises adorned with his name as "Ghost Recon," ''Rainbow Six" and "Splinter Cell." He's also associated with the upcoming next-generation title "The Division."
