But Dorial Green-Beckham was a once-in-a-blue-moon high school athlete at Hillcrest (Springfield, Mo.).

His sophomore season in 2009-10, the 6-foot-6, 218-pounder was selected the Missouri State Class 5 MVP, leading Hillcrest to a second state basketball title and first since 1984. He averaged 18.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

In the State Class 4 track and field finals, he claimed titles in the 100 meters (11.0 seconds) and triple jump (47 feet, 2½ inches) and was second in the long jump (23-2¼).

In his top sport, football, the No. 1 national recruit in his recruiting class caught 66 passes for 1,616 yards and 23 touchdowns.

We repeat, Green-Beckham was a sophomore.

He's now gearing up for the NFL Draft and many are comparing him to the NFL's best receiver, Calvin Johnson. He's still 6-6, but he weighs in at 225. Some have even compared him to Julio Jones. Johnson or Jones? Hard to fathom more athletic receivers in the NFL than those guys.

Only because of some off-the-field problems, he's projected to be a late first-round pick. Talent-wise, he's a top 5 prospect.
