VIDEO: Car slams through Dothan business overnight
DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan business is covering up a hole left in the side of it early Friday morning after a car slammed through it.
The surveillance footage from just after midnight on Friday shows a car veer off Montgomery Highway at a high rate of speed and slam into the side of Be Younique Hair and Beauty Supply in Dothan.
Owners of the business say that the driver was under the influence and lost control of the wheel, which forced several officers to respond to the scene. A suspect was taken into custody and the car was removed from the scene
On Friday, construction crews were seen attending to the hole left into the side of Be Younique putting up boards and temporary walls on the side of the business.
The business didn’t shut down for the day and the owners say that some inventory was destroyed in the crash, but luckily no one was at the shop when the car hit the business.
The insurance company has been contacted to handle the permanent repair.
