Video: Bands fire up instruments as Modesto Porchfest tunes up for a big music event
Modesto Porchfest is a community-building event that brings people together through music. This video features clips of musicians performing in the 2019 and 2023 Porchfest.
This year’s festival will feature local bands performing on porches, patios, and driveways throughout multiple neighborhoods in Modesto on Sunday, May 16. The event is free to attend, but tip jars will be available to benefit the musicians.
City of Modesto ordinances apply regarding dogs, alcohol, and “unruly behavior.” The event is a “collective responsibility” for the community to create an event that will continue for years to come.
