5-Star Recruits from the Class of 2015

Josh Sweat from Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, Va.) High School is the new No. 1 overall recruit. The 6-5, 240-pound defensive end has drawn comparisons to Jadeveon Clowney.

Moving in at a close second is Clayton Valley Charter's (Concord, Calif.) new defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie. McKenzie committed to Tennessee while participating at The Opening in Oregon, after announcing his transfer from De La Salle.

At the quarterback position, Jarrett Stidham of Stephenville (Texas) has made the jump to the No. 1 overall QB in the class. According to 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Barton Simmons, the Texas Tech commit showed outstanding accuracy and a quick release, and he spun the ball consistently.

A new 5-star recruit is Byron Cowart from Armwood (Seffner, Fla.). You can just watch his highlights below to see why. That's 6-foot-4, 250 pounds smashing through the opposing offensive lines.

A Clemson commit on the rise is Deon Cain of Tampa Bay Tech (Tampa, Fla.) The athlete jumped up to No. 17 overall in the 247Sports Top 100. He is ranked 45th overall in the Composite Rankings.

Alabama commit Blake Barnett from Santiago (Corona, Calif.) may be the biggest sure-thing QB, according Barton Simmons. The dual-threat QB threw for 2,332 yards last year.

A wide receiver on the rise is Calvin Ridley from Monarch (Coconut Creek, Fla.). Like Barnett, Ridley is committed to Alabama.
