Victoria Beckham may be renowned for high-end clothing that caters for only one size (thin) but the former Spice Girl is broadening her horizons with a new range for American retailer Target.

The 200-piece collection will go up to a size XXXL (a UK size 24); a fact that is “really exciting” according to the designer.

An inside source has revealed that this is a smart business move for Victoria as her designer line only goes up to a size 14. “There is a lot hanging on this for Victoria – it’s so different to everything she has done before. She wants to target absolutely everyone to make sure that she gets every single sale she can,” they told the Daily Mail.

“She usually designs for the very thin figure so it has certainly surprised people. It is a good business decision though – she needs to start making a profit.”

It’s good news for us too as the collaboration – which is apparently inspired by daughter Harper – is easily affordable with the majority of items priced under £50.

The entire collection could easily be mistaken for anything off the catwalk with simple floral pieces in VB’s signature styles taking precedence. If colour’s more your thing, hot pinks and a vibrant orange appear on flattering dresses and two-pieces.

A cheap childrenswear range will also be available once the collection launches on 9 April. Certain pieces will be up for grabs at victoriabeckham.com with the full range being sold on Target’s site.
