Victoria Beckham Wears the Season’s Trickiest Dress Length and Wins
Victoria Beckham is in New York City to speak at today’s Forbes Women’s Summit and dressed to impress in a midi dress of her own design. The diaphanous mid-calf dress of her own design was a departure for Beckham, who has been testing the waters in tailored separates and suiting lately. It’s a silhouette that has been resurgent on stylish women, including Queen Rania of Jordan and Queen Letizia of Spain. But unlike the royals, who offset their girlish skirts with simple tops, Beckham doubled down on the feminine factor through a pretty palette from top to bottom.
Beckham’s electric-rose dress felt light as air, as if designed specifically to combat the Manhattan heat wave. A slight flutter cap sleeve shape covered Beckham’s shoulders gracefully, while the fabric’s textured finish lent dimension. Teal stilettos were a fresh touch, and Beckham’s requisite Céline shades provided a perfect pap-proof finish.
