Victim tied up during Lincoln home-invasion robbery

Three men and a teenager were arrested after a home-invasion robbery in Lincoln in which they held a man at gunpoint and tied up his hands, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said.

The four men forced their way into a home on Hungry Hollow Road at about 2 a.m. Tuesday, the victim reported to deputies.

The victim said the men held him at gunpoint, bound his hands and demanded money and property, officers said.

The suspects took more than 4 pounds of marijuana, the victim's gun and some clothing as they ransacked the house before leaving, according to the sheriff's office.

The victim was eventually able to free his hands to call 911.

Soon after, a deputy spotted a car matching the description of the suspects' vehicle in Roseville.

Once backup arrived, a high-risk traffic stop was conducted when the driver pulled over near Watt Avenue and Capital City Freeway.

A search of the vehicle revealed the marijuana, two handguns -- one which belonged to the victim -- as well as the victim's clothing, deputies said.

Jeremiah J. Stephens, 19, Marcel Perkins, 19, and Louis J. James, 20, were booked into the South Placer Jail on charges of home-invasion robbery, kidnapping, carrying a loaded firearm and grand theft, officers said. All are believed to be from the Sacramento area.

The fourth suspect, a 17-year-old, was booked on the same charges at the Placer County Juvenile Hall.
