Victim struck by firearm in Vallejo robbery, 5 arrested

(KRON) – The Vallejo Police Department has arrested one adult and four minors for an armed robbery on Saturday.

Vallejo police officers were alerted to an active armed robbery at a business on the 1200 block of Tennessee Street. A cashier informed the responding officers that multiple men entered the store, headed to the cash register, and stole the money. The store hid a tracker in the cash register.

Man accused of stealing motorhome arrested in Colma

One of the perpetrators reportedly was carrying a firearm and struck a victim with the gun. There were visible signs of physical trauma on the victim’s body, police said. According to the police, the victim was threatened after being struck to comply with the robber’s demands.

Officers pursued the tracker and located the suspect’s vehicle near Candy Drive and Jack London Drive. The suspects ran from the car after police initiated a traffic stop. Officers were able to track the suspect who fled with the cash. The Solano County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit assisted Vallejo PD in the search of the other four suspects.

According to police, four of the five suspects were minors. The getaway vehicle was the adult suspect’s mother’s car.

Police said all of the stolen money and firearm were recovered. The minors were arrested and booked into the Solano County Juvenile Detention Facility. The man was arrested and booked into jail. His mother was notified that the vehicle was towed, police said.
