Victim shot in Wisconsin reportedly uncooperative with police investigation

MILTON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in southern Wisconsin say one person was shot Tuesday evening and is being uncooperative with police as they continue to investigate the incident.

According to a release from the Milton Police Department, officers, along with deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and crews from the Lakeside Fire and Rescue, responded at 5:03 p.m. to the intersection of Plum Street and Larch Lane for reports of a man suffering an apparent gunshot wound.

Law enforcement on the scene say they found the man with a gunshot wound and treated him on scene before being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man was then treated at the hospital and released sometime on Wednesday. The victim is allegedly being uncooperative in providing information as to what happened.

Police say no one has yet been taken into custody, however, the scene is reportedly safe and there is no threat to the public.

At this time, no other information is available and an investigation into the incident by the Milton Police Department remains ongoing.
