Victim identified in fatal Hoover Reservoir water accident

BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WCMH) — Authorities have identified the man who died after a boating accident at Hoover Reservoir on Sunday night.

Paul V. Parks, 56, was pronounced dead at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s at 12:33 a.m. on Monday, according to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office. Parks had been transported in critical condition after the Hoover Reservoir accident at about 8 p.m. on Sunday.

A second victim was taken to St. Ann’s in fair condition with hypothermic symptoms, Genoa Township Fire Department Chief Joe Ponzi said. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is investigating the cause of the accident.
