Victim dies after shooting in Oklahoma City parking lot

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The woman shot in an Oklahoma City parking lot on March 27 has died, according to police.

The shooting happened on Wednesday, March 27, in an Office Depot parking lot near I-240 and S. Western Avenue.

Officials say 33-year-old Mauricio Martinez shot his wife, 30-year-old Mariana Flores-Salazar, in front of their children. He was arrested on March 28.

Flores-Salazar was taken to the hospital shortly after the incident in critical condition. It was announced on Tuesday, April 2, that she has passed away.

According to OKCPD, Martinez was originally arrested on a complaint of Domestic Assault with a Deadly Weapon which has been changed to First Degree Murder.

No more information is available as the investigation continues.

Flores-Salazar’s family has set up a GoFundMe to cover the cost of sending the victim’s body back to Mexico to lay her to rest.
