The 20-year-old vanished after leaving for an evening jog in rural Brooklyn, Iowa, on July 18. She hasn't been seen since.
Pence, in Iowa to promote President Trump's tax cuts, prayed with the family, according to the Des Moines Register.
Rob Tibbetts, Mollie's father, told the paper that Pence joined him, his sons and Mollie's boyfriend, Dalton Jack, at the Iowa Air National Guard wing of the Des Moines International Airport.
The father said Mollie's case goes beyond party politics.
“He agreed with that wholeheartedly,” he said of Pence.
The father previously gave an interview saying he believes his daughter is with someone she "trusted."
"I think someone went to the house that Mollie knew or that Mollie trusted and that she left with them willingly," Rob told CBS News earlier this month. "Now they're in over their head and they don't know what to do."
A website has been established to take tips from the public, with the goal of stirring the memories of residents who may have seen something the night Mollie disappeared.
