Veteran Affairs holds ribbon cutting for new clinic near Stockton

(FOX40.COM) — On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their brand new community-based outpatient clinic just outside of Stockton.

The officially named Richard A. Pittman VA Clinic spans 150,000 square feet and will offer a number of services including:
• Addiction and substance use care
• Advice nurse
• Audiology and speech treatment
• Chiropractic care
• Homeless veteran care
• Mental health care
• And more

The clinic is located at 6505 South Manthey Road, French Camp, and is about a 55-minute drive from Sacramento and an eight-minute drive from central Stockton.

The $505 million project will also be accompanied by a 140,000-square-foot community living center and a 20,000-square-foot engineering logistics building once contracts are awarded later this year, according to the US Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District.

The newly opened clinic will be responsible for providing patient care for about 50% of the Sacramento/Northern California area.
