Veronica Beard Is Partnering with Chairish to Curate Their Favorite Furnishing Finds
Fashion designers have begun offering more than just curated wardrobes—now they offer curated lifestyles, too. To embrace their love of all things vintage, sisters-in-law Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard of the eponymous brand, Veronica Beard, have just announced a partnership with online marketplace Chairish.
The vintage decor dealer has tapped the Veronicas Beard to curate a selection of almost 200 items from their site, providing buyers with an edited shopping experience that reflects the eclecticism of designers' personal styles. In addition, 20 of these items will be on display through the month at Veronica Beard SoHo.
The selection, not unlike the Beards’ fashion line, manages to perfectly mix the smartly tailored with the wildly bohemian. Among the pieces selected are a mixture of sculptural lighting, vibrantly hued furniture, colorful Turkish rugs, and eye-catching tableware. “Designing a chic, layered room is a lot like designing a collection,” says Swanson Beard. “There needs to be print, color, and texture, and the proportion and mix of elements need to work together in perfect harmony.”
This exciting new collab isn’t the first time the Beards have made headlines in the decorating world. Last year, they enlisted design legend and entertainer extraordinaire Ken Fulk to throw a fashion week party at their Madison Avenue store—complete with leopard-print walls, Federalist mirrors, and Playgirl decoupage.
The full curation is available starting today on Chairish.com, and a selection is on sale at the Veronica Beard store on 78 Greene Street in SoHo. Their maximalist take on interiors and their beyond-chic personal styles make us eager to know what they’ll do next. Our hope? That they continue curating vintage—because as Veronica Miele Beard notes, “Everything looks better old.”
