“Venom” stars Hardy as Eddie Brock, who moves to San Francisco and battles an evil alien symbiote. The film, directed by “Gangster Squad” filmmaker Ruben Fleischer, takes inspiration from both the “Lethal Protector” and “Planet of the Symbiotes” comic book storylines. Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed co-star.

Sony will release “Venom” in theaters nationwide October 5. Watch the trailer below.
