Vehicle fire on I-81S in Augusta County cleared

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – VDOT reports the vehicle fire on I-81S in Augusta County has been cleared.

All lanes of traffic are now moving normally.

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia Department of Transpiration says there is currently a motor vehicle fire on Interstate 81 South near mile marker 208.8 in Augusta County.

The right Southbound shoulder is currently closed while crews work to extinguish the fire and clear the area. Drivers can expect delays until further notice.

The bloc has been formally investigating X since last December over disinformation in civic discourse and the effectiveness of the platform's crowdsourced 'Community Notes' content moderation feature, among a bundle of other concerns -- though, so far, no sanctions have been forthcoming. Yesterday Musk personally responded to -- and thus amplified -- a post on X, by the right-wing political influencer, Ian Miles Cheong, which sought to link the shooting to views he suggested Fico holds rejecting the World Health Organization's pandemic prevention plan.
