Veer Shivaji tipped to go on air from Aug 26

Contiloe Telefilms' is all set to launch a historical show for Colors. The show which is based on the life of Chatrapati Shivaji is tentatively titled Veer Shivaji. The latest news is that the show is tipped to go on air from August 26 at a prime time slot.

Our source says, "The production house is yet to rope in someone to play the lead character of Shivaji. However, Milind Gunaji will essay the role of Shahaji Raje, Shilpa Tulaskar will be playing Jijabai and Ali Hassain will play the character of Muhammad Adil Shah, the ruler of Bijapur. Furthermore, Mandhar Jadhav, Amit Behl and Natasha will also be playing important roles in the show."

Abhimanyu Singh of Contiloe Telefilms refrained from commenting.
