Vape and smoke shop seeks East Brunswick variance relief for Route 18 location
EAST BRUNSWICK – A vape and smoke shop in Edison wants to open a new location on Route 18.
Beast Vape and Smoke, which has a shop on southbound Route 1 north of the Menlo Park Mall, is seeking use variance relief to operate the new shop in a vacant storefront at 291 Route 18 South in the Colchester Plaza.
Colchester Plaza is located at the intersection of Route 18 and Tices Lane.
A Zoning Board of Adjustment hearing on the application is scheduled for the 7 p.m. March 21 meeting.

Use variance relief is requested because the sale of electronic smoking devices is not permitted in the zone.
The application, documents and maps for which approval is sought are on file in the office of the Department of Planning and Engineering and are available for public inspection during normal business hours.
