Valley View rallies to support family after fatal accident

Nov. 16—Valley View is pulling together to support the kids left behind from a fatal accident that took place Sunday.

Valley View couple Robert and Heather Kemp were on their motorcycle traveling westbound on FM-922 when they were hit by a driver who failed to yield the right-of-way while traveling southbound on County Road 215. The Kemps were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Robert and Heather leave behind three children: Quention, Cierra and Kyle.

The Kemp Memorial Fund has been set up through Coker Funeral Home in Sanger to support the Kemp's children. Those wishing to contribute can call 940-324-2890 or drop checks or cash off at the funeral home at 403 Pecan St. in Sanger. All funds beyond payment for funeral expenses will be returned to the family.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at Coker Funeral Home. The Valley View ISD board meeting is delayed to 7:30 p.m. or when a quorum is present so that board members can attend.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Valley View High School competition gym. Schools will also be closed on Friday to allow students and staff to attend funeral services.
