Valley of Grace to hold 7th annual Dressy But Messy fundraiser

Oct. 26—The Valley of Grace, a 90-day faith-based addiction recovery center, is holding its seventh annual "Dressy but Messy" fundraiser on Nov. 3.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Northview Church, 3409 S. 200 West, with doors opening at 6 p.m.

There is a semi-formal dress code. Howard County Judge Brant Parry will emcee and Brent Earlywine will serve as the auctioneer for the silent auction.

The event also includes dinner from local restaurants, such as Tank's BBQ, Cook McDoogal's, Marble The Steakhouse, The Local Catering Company, Dan's Donuts, J. Edwards and Hawg Heaven.

The dinner comes with a twist. All attendees will receive an apron. There will be no utensils as people will eat with their hands. It serves as a metaphor for the messiness of addiction.

This year's event will also feature something the nonprofit has never done before at a Dressy But Messy fundraiser, according to Joey Bennett, co-founder of Valley of Grace.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at All proceeds will benefit Valley of Grace.
