Uzhhorod opens new recruitment center for Ukrainian Armed Forces

A Ukrainian army recruitment center opened in Uzhhorod, Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister, Natalia Kalmykova, reported on Facebook on May 1.

It is located in the Administrative Service Centre at 3 Poshtova Square, Kalmykova said. Operating hours are from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m., and on Friday until 1:00 p.m. EET. This marks the 19th recruitment center in Ukraine.

The center can be visited anonymously, with no summons issued there, she said. It offers up to a hundred vacancies from Zakarpattya units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service

A recruitment center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was opened in Kyiv on April 30, located in the premises of the Solomianskyi District State Administration.

Ukraine Defense Ministry opened the first recruitment center in Lviv on Feb. 12. Recruiters can provide information on vacancies, offer career counseling, conduct guidance tests, and accompany candidates on their journey to appointment in the army.

Explaining the new recruitment algorithm for joining the Armed Forces on March 14, Ukraine's Defense Ministry outlined four stages:

  • Selection of position and military unit

  • Interview and communication with the military unit

  • Registration in the recruitment center

  • Deployment for military service

The Defense Ministry launched a recruitment project in the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Nov. 13, 2023, by signing a contract with the recruitment agency, Lobby X. This project allows individuals to choose a specific unit for positions where their civilian experience could be most beneficial. Vacancies are currently listed on websites such as lobbyx.army, work.ua, defence.robota.ua, olx.ua.
