Utah State basketball player who collapsed still in critical condition

SALT LAKE CITY - A Utah State basketball player who collapsed at practice and stopped breathing remains in critical condition.

Intermountain Medical Center spokesman Jess Gomez says Danny Berger is in critical condition Wednesday morning at the hospital in Murray.

Utah State officials said the game scheduled for Wednesday night in Provo between Utah State and Brigham Young has been postponed because of Berger's condition.

Emergency responders had to use a defibrillator to get Berger breathing again during practice Tuesday in Logan. It is unknown what caused Berger to collapse. Tests and evaluations are ongoing.

The junior from Medford, Ore., is a starting forward for the Aggies. He averages 7.6 points per game and 3.6 rebounds.
