COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (KDVR) — The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team will be heading back to Colorado this summer.

The international friendly will take place on June 1 against Korea Republic at 3 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

A tune-up for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, the match will be the first for new USWNT coach Emma Hayes.

“We need as many quality games as we can get heading into the Olympics and Korea Republic will provide good tests. While we will be watching every game our players play in their club environments over the next three months, the matches in Colorado and Minnesota are the final international matches before the Olympic Team is chosen, so they will carry that extra edge,” said U.S. interim head coach Twila Kilgore.

Broncos to release Russell Wilson

The team consists of several notable Coloradans in the player pool, including captain Lindsey Horan from Golden, Mallory Swanson (Pugh) from Highlands Ranch, and Sophia Smith from Windsor.

Since their first match in 2008, the USWNT has been unbeaten across eight matches at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (7-0-1), including most recently a 3-0 win over Colombia in June 2022 as home-state hero Smith scored twice.

Tickets for the game will go on presale on Wednesday, March 6 at 10 a.m. for Circle Insiders, VIP Insiders and Premium Insiders. Presale for Standard Insiders and Visa cardholders goes on sale on Thursday, March 7 at 4 p.m.

Finally, general ticket sales will happen on Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m.
