U.S. Senator Roger Wicker has tested positive for COVID-19 a second time, according to a Friday tweet.
Wicker, Mississippi's senior Republican senator, said he is fully vaccinated. However, it was not immediately clear whether his vaccination status includes a booster shot.
Despite the positive result, Wicker said he is "in good health."
Today I received a positive test result for COVID-19. I am fully vaccinated and in good health. I will work from home for the next few days. I look forward to being back in person soon.
