Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham arrived in Kyiv, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine reported on X on March 18.

"Today we welcome Senator Lindsey Graham to Kyiv," the embassy said.

"The unwavering support of the United States is crucial for Ukraine's success in countering Russia's illegal full-scale war."

Graham serves as the senior U.S. Senator from South Carolina. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, he has made multiple visits to Ukraine.

Ukraine should hold elections even during the war, Graham said in late August 2023. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded by suggesting that in such a scenario, the U.S. and Europe should take steps to guarantee the fairness of the elections by sending observers to Ukraine, with a particular focus on the frontlines.

"To stop funding Ukraine is a death sentence for Taiwan," Graham said in October, commenting on statements from various politicians, including former U.S. President Donald Trump.
