US-98 median to close outside Daphne Police Department for road work

DAPHNE, Ala. (WKRG) — The median across the street from the Daphne Police Department will close next week, according to a Facebook post.

The U.S. Highway 98 median at Lavender Lane will be closed completely starting Monday, March 18, and will not reopen until Friday, March 22.

MEDIAN CLOSURE LOCATION:

According to the post, the median will be closed all day and night from Monday through Friday.

Daphne Police said the median closure is for road work conducted by the Alabama Department of Transportation.

Drivers should expect delays on the road next week.

“If you’re driving south to the PD, you will have to go past it and make a U-turn to enter the PD parking lot,” the post said.
