Urgent demand for O-type blood at Houchin Blood Bank

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Houchin Community Blood Bank is experiencing a critical demand for blood this week.

Houchin is asking Kern residents to help increase their supply and prepare for the high demand of blood that comes during the Memorial Day weekend, according to Houchin.

Monday, May 20 through Saturday, all successful O-type donors will receive a $15 digital gift card for contributing to the cause.
