The Urbana Park District said it’s important to shed light on the cultural significance of the holiday.

“We really think that you belong here at the Urbana Park District,” Community Outreach Coordinator Katie Bickers said. “It’s a good opportunity to share the Asian culture, and for those who are not so familiar with the Asian culture to learn about different things that they do.”

Organizers said this year was a big hit and are looking to bring the event back next year.
