Updated: Man dies after car crashes into tree near Urbana
Feb. 15—A Germantown man died after crashing into a tree east of Urbana on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that Ekoue Gbadoe, 33, died at the scene of the crash.
At around 10:48 a.m., the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services received a call for a vehicle crash in the area of Park Mills Road and Worthington Manor Place, Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Sarah Campbell wrote in a text message Wednesday.
The sheriff's office said Gbadoe was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry east on Park Mills Road. His car went off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
No one else was in the car with him, according to the sheriff's office.
