Unsolved Mysteries to hit streaming services
Enjoy a spooky, eerie holiday season in front of the TV.
Unsolved Mysteries, the popular crime documentary series that ran primarily on NBC, had its worldwide digital distribution rights snapped up by FilmRise, company CEO Danny Fisher confirmed to EW. Episodes from the late 2000s hosted by late actor Dennis Farina are already on Amazon Prime.
"We are expecting more platforms to stream Unsolved Mysteries in the coming months — both the Dennis Farina versions as well as the Robert Stack versions," Fisher wrote in an email.
Stack hosted the show from 1987 to 2002. What started as special broadcast event evolved into nearly 600 episodes. The show mainly explored unsolved crimes, paranormal incidents, and other conspiracy theories. Stack bowed out after 2002. After six years of dormancy, Spike picked up the show with Farina hosting from 2008 to 2010. The show's official website remains active for people to submit stories or tips.
