Unofficial results in for Robeson, Scotland County elections

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — The unofficial results are in for Tuesday night’s Robeson County school board election as well as a Scotland County race.

With 100% of precincts reporting, the results in the race for an at-large seat in the Robeson County Board of Education:

  • Vonta Leach — 3,868 votes (30.4%)

  • Kristy Fields — 2,586 votes (20.32%)

  • Henry Brewer — 1,894 votes (14.89%)

  • Evan Davenport — 1,757 votes (13.81%)

  • William Gentry — 1,707 votes (13.42%)

  • Brenda Fairley-Ferebee — 558 votes (4.39%)

  • Karen Schwanger — 354 votes (2.78%)

2024 North Carolina primary election results

There were three other races for the Robeson County Board of Education. In District 4, Terry Locklear handily defeated Jerome Hunt, earning 1,236 votes (62.46%) to 743 for Hunt.

A race for an unexpired seat in District 6 was also not much of a contest, with Crystal Monroe grabbing 1,049 votes (69.76%) to 472 for Ellion McQueen.

Bradley Phillips dominated in a race for a school board seat in District 7, earning 977 votes (59.79%) compared to just 473 for Rodney Hunt and 184 for Joey McLellan.

In the race for an at-large Democratic seat on the Scotland County Board of Commissioners, Daniel Dockery earned 755 votes and narrowly defeated J.D. Willis, who garnered 703. Herman Tyson and Jim Sutherland were a distant third and fourth place, earning 427 and 322 votes, respectively.

The county boards will certify the results on Friday, March 15, according to the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
