UNM School of Medicine offering free skin cancer screenings on Saturday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine is providing free skin cancer screenings to the community on Saturday. The screenings coincide with Skin Cancer Awareness Month. According to the school, of 200 patients screened in 2023, 1/3 required a follow-up visit to a dermatologist.

This year’s screenings will take place at:

  • UNM Hospital Dermatology Clinic, 1021 Medical Arts Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102

  • UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center, 3001 Broadmoor Blvd. NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144

The screenings will be held from 9-11:30 a.m.
