United Way organizes ‘April Food Day’ collection for Thurston food banks. No foolin’

The United Way of Thurston County is running a new “April Food Day” food drive this week aimed at addressing food insecurity.

Through Friday, March 29, the United Way is urging all community members to drop off non-perishable food items at designated drop-off locations across the county.

On Monday, April 1, the United Way team will coordinate the delivery of the collected food items to the Thurston County Food Bank, Yelm Community Services Food Bank, ROOF Community Services (serving Rochester), and Tenino Community Service Center/Tenino Food Bank Plus.
