United Way of Marquette County hosts Children’s Egg Hunt

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) – On Saturday the United Way of Marquette County teamed up with other local non-profit organizations and businesses to host the Children’s Egg Hunt at Presque Isle.

“It is a great day for an egg hunt,” said Andrew Rickauer, United Way Executive Director. ” It is nice weather. There are a couple of hundred kids out here, the Easter Bunny, and fire truck. Everyone seems to be having a great time. The snow keeps it interesting; the kids are working a bit extra for their eggs today.  So, we probably had about 300 kids out here today, and about 5,000 eggs hidden in the snow. Following the hunt, we are doing to give away for the City- Wide Egg Hunt that happened all last week. the eggs are filled with either a little toy or a piece of candy. There are about 15 special baskets, just a pre-filled Easter basket filled with toys and goodies.”

This event is done annually. So, if you missed it, it will be happening again next year.
