United Hands Project to host a casino night to support mental health initiatives for youth

PANAMA CITY — The United Hands Project is hosting a casino night fundraiser Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. to support its mental health initiatives for youth.

The event will be held at Hotel Indigo, 7 Harrison Ave., Panama City.

The fundraiser is meant to raise awareness about local youths in need of mental health services.

According to a news release by the United Hands Project, proceeds from the Casino Night will directly support the organization's vital initiatives, including its STEMental mental health summit and mental health support for area youth and young adults.

“We believe that fostering a positive mental health outlook significantly shapes the overall well-being of young people,” CEO Sophia Crittenden said in the release. “This casino night serves as a catalyst, calling on individuals and groups to team up with us, making a positive impact in our community.”
