The airplane, a Boeing 787, had 197 passengers and 14 crew members on board at the time.

United canceled the flight and is providing hotel rooms and meal vouchers to impacted passengers, the airline confirmed. Passengers will be rebooked on Wednesday on another flight departing Singapore for SF on a different aircraft.

This is the latest in a series of incidents related to United Airlines aircraft, many of which have involved SFO.
