Jesus, can you imagine how many more people would have been killed, had this man not been distracted by this HERO. No Weapons with him, yet he still tried. DAMN, now that is a HERO.
well done sir
It's hard to calculate how many lives this security guard saved, for one, 200 bullets that would have gone into the crowd went into the walls instead, plus it distracted the gunman from continuing to fire out the window and possibly inspired him to commit suicide earlier than planned as he knew the cops were going to close in soon. This security guard deserves a medal!
God Bless this brave man. If he is interested in law enforcement career, he should be bumped to front of the line at the acadamy. Many people would have run the other way.
Those 200 rounds he drew upon himself were 200 less rounds directed towards that crowd. Self-less Hero, without a doubt.
He was unarmed but still tried to open the door, brave yes, maybe not the smartest move. But yes he is a hero and thank you sir for being there. I'm glad he was not hurt any worse or killed.
Campos saved hundreds of lives. I really doubt Paddock expected to be located that quickly. I am glad those 200 rounds went into the hall and not onto the concert grounds or toward the fuel tanks he tried to pierce. If Paddock had 10 more minutes, many, many more would have been hit.
JESUS CAMPOS, just another American protecting Americans. Our heroes come from immigrants because, for the most part, so do we. “It is amazing that the security guard didn’t sustain additional injuries,” Lombardo said. “His bravery was amazing because he remained with our officers, providing them the key pass to access the door and actually continued to help them clear rooms until our officers demanded that he go seek medical attention.”
3 Thumbs Up for this Guy!!!
Well, isn't this contradicting news. The other day it was the veteran in a room a couple floors from the shooter that contacted police after many attempts to call 911.
Actually, the unarmed, likely barely over minimum wage security guard interrupted and then distracted the shooter, who unleashed a hailstorm of more than 2000 bullets sprayed into the crown over the 10-12 minutes that he had before this security guard broke the onslaught of his barrage. He may have saved dozens if not hundreds of lives.
Glad he's alive and helped the police. Have to question how this guy setup cameras in the hallway and none of the security staff noticed that.
