Unaccompanied Veteran Burial scheduled at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery
May 16—KILLEEN — On Wednesday, May 22, at 11 a.m. sharp, the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran Burial for U.S. Air Force Veteran Sergeant (Sgt.) Paul Michael Sollars.
Born on October 11, 1947, Sgt. Sollars served from October 1965 to February 1969. Sollars received the National Defense Service Medal for his service to the nation.
Sollars is not expected to have any next-of-kin attend his burial. Help spread the word and ensure that this U.S. Air Force Veteran is not buried alone. Sollars will receive military honors. If no next-of-kin is present at the burial, a Veterans Land Board Representative will accept the United States flag on his behalf.
