Ukrainians among casualties in fatal Leipzig road collision

Two Ukrainian citizens sustained injuries in a fatal traffic accident involving a FlixBus operator near Leipzig in Germany, Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Ministry reported on March 28.

The Ministry confirmed the accident to European Pravda on March 28, noting that one of the injured Ukrainians, a woman, required immediate hospitalization. Fortunately, both individuals are now on the mend at home.

One Ukrainian woman was immediately hospitalized following the accident, with both citizens now recuperating at home, the ministry said.

Authorities are still trying to confirm the identity of a woman who tragically lost her life in the mishap. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian embassy is diligently tracking the situation, ensuring that the injured citizens receive the necessary support and updates.

A Flixbus carrying 53 passengers overturned on the road from Berlin to Zurich on the morning of March 27. At least 20 people were injured and five died, according to Bild.

The Czech 62-year-old Flixbus driver is currently under investigation.
