Remarkable footage has emerged from combat in the north of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, where soldiers of the 225th Battalion (127th Separate Brigade of the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces) captured three Russian invaders while utilizing unusual tactics.

The battalion commander, Oleh “Sirko”, filmed the capture of the Russian troops, and a video of the incident was shared. The exact date of the footage is not specified.

The Russians were captured without a fight when the battalion's reconnaissance troops approached enemy positions and encountered a Russian soldier.

In the video, a Ukrainian soldier tells the invader that he will hang a "grenade with a radio detonator" on his own back and blow it up if he doesn't surrender.

However, it was later revealed by Sirko on Instagram that the so-called grenade was in fact a large twig.

The Ukrainian soldier emphasizes to the Russian invader that he is in Ukrainian territory and must follow their orders. He mentions that they will eventually exchange the captured Russians and send them home.

The Ukrainian soldiers led the invader to an advanced position where they captured two more Russians. Sirko initially tells the Russian military personnel that his battalion is the "Veterans PMC" dressed in Ukrainian uniforms, but he later confirms that they were in fact soldiers of the Armed Forces of UKraine

Yuriy Butusov, the editor-in-chief of news outlet Censor.NET, described this video as both the "funniest" clip he’d seen from the conflict, and an example of "real heroism" during the war.

He expressed astonishment at the incredible nature of the capture, surpassing what one might see in movies, and noting the soldiers' ability to avoid enemy fire even after being detected and apprehending prisoners.
