A recent poll reveals that up to 16% of Ukrainians are prepared to join the Armed Forces, while 35% are eager to offer non-military assistance in the war against Russian invasion forces.

The nationwide survey, conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation in collaboration with the Razumkov Center sociological service, sheds light on the attitudes and readiness of Ukrainians amid ongoing war.

According to the findings, 7% of respondents are willing to enlist if conscripted, with an additional 9% ready to serve should military operations approach their vicinity. A significant 35% express a commitment to contribute through non-military means, such as financial support or volunteering efforts within Ukraine.

However, uncertainties persist among some respondents, with 15% finding it challenging to decide on a course of action in the event of escalating hostilities. Meanwhile, 24% indicate a primary focus on survival if the situation worsens.

Additionally, 5% of Ukrainians express a desire to leave the country in the face of prolonged conflict.

The survey, conducted face-to-face across various regions of Ukraine, interviewed 2,020 respondents aged 18 and older. While the theoretical sampling error remains low at 2.3%, potential systematic deviations may arise due to the impact of Russian aggression, including the displacement of millions of citizens.
