Ukrainian Foreign Minister expects "constructive developments" in relations with Hungary after meeting with his counterpart

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said that after meeting with his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó in Brussels, he expects further improvements in relations between Kyiv and Budapest.

Details: Dmytro Kuleba noted that their lengthy negotiations did not give specific details on the discussion topics.

"We both agreed that a number of steps have been made in the recent weeks to overcome issues in our bilateral relations. In the spirit of this positive trend, we anticipate more constructive developments in the coming days and weeks," the minister said.

Péter Szijjártó also mentioned "steps to restore mutual trust" in relations between Hungary and Ukraine in his message.

The day before, the Hungarian minister had a telephone conversation with the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

• In late January, Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Ukrainian President's Office, with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Peter Szijjarto, held talks in Uzhрorod.

• Yermak stated that they showed Kyiv and Budapest's mutual desire to hold a meeting at the highest level.
