Ukrainian defenders take down 12 drones over Sumy Oblast in Russian overnight attack

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 12 Russian Shahed drones overnight on May 6, Ukrainian Air Force commander Mykola Oleshchuk reported on Telegram.

Russia launched 13 drones from Kursk Oblast, north of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Armed Forces mobile fire groups destroyed 12 of the Russian drones over Sumy Oblast.

Air raid alerts sounded in several Ukrainian oblasts overnight on May 6.

Explosions were reported in Sumy.

Critical infrastructure objects are being transferred to backup power sources due to a massive drone attack on Sumy.
