Ukrainian IT army disrupts Moscow metro: payment system is down

Ukraine’s IT army has carried out a large-scale attack on Russian government and local websites, including the Troika public transport fare payment system, causing disruptions on the metro systems in Moscow and Kazan.

Quote: "The cyberarmy has attacked a number of Russian government and local portals, including the Troika public transport payment system. This is one of the largest fare payment systems in Russia, operating in 38 regions."

The outage left holders of travel cards in Moscow and Kazan unable to pay for tickets, top up their cards or pay for parking.
